AC = Armour class
AC is short for armour class, a term used constantly in D&D. It refers to a person, item, or monster’s armour strength. It will be different depending on the monster/item/person. You must roll over this number to do damage to whatever you are attacking.
Canon = Official (not fan made)
Canon is what separates fact (made by the author) from fiction (made by fans).

DM = Dungeon master
A dungeon master, or DM, tells the story and controls everything that happens in the game. The DM will create and control monsters, too.

NPC = Non-player character
A non-player character is a character in a board game or video game that does not actually exist. No one is controlling the characters actions apart from a computer or a dungeon master
